Communication Process
On June 12, we received an inquiry from an Egyptian customer. They told us they need the lifting pressure tong but without other specifications. In the beginning, I’m not sure whether the client need the whole crane or just the lifting pressure tong. So I replied to the email from two aspects: the whole crane and the separate lifting pressure tong. After confirmation, the client only needs the separate lifting tong, and also sends us the lifting materials dimension. In order to design the most suitable solution for the client, we need to confirm further details about the working conditions, I listed the questions below:
1. The lifting tong will be used with the hoist trolley mentioned in the attachment?
2. The lifting tong will be used for lifting the bloom as the below picture showed?
3. May I know the temperature of the bloom?
We received the reply from the client very fast, I sent all specifications to the technical department, and our professional technical team could design the lifting pressure tong based on the specifications client provided for now.
According to the dimensions, our technical engineers find that it still has some questions and gave two options for the client’s choice:
(1). The distance between the centerlines of the lifting points is designed as 4m for 2 sets of lifting tongs, this solution can meet your requirements to lifting all your required bloom and beam blanks, but for the 4.5m bloom and beam blanks, it may lead to the deformation, as attached picture 2 showed.
(2). We can design two different dimensions lifting tongs to match different length bloom/beam blanks. For the 4.5m bloom and beam blanks, we can design the distance between the centerlines of the lifting points as 3m; for the 12.5/12/6m bloom and beam blanks, we can design the distance between the centerlines of the lifting points as 4m. The lifting capacity of 2 sets of lifting tongs are all 30 tons, but the dimension is a little different.
Finally, our clients chose the second solution. We design two different lifting capacity lifting pressure tongs for our client. One is 15ton, another one is 30ton. The lifting pressure tong picture is below:
Generally, the lifting pressure tong is used as the lifting mechanism of the overhead cranes or the gantry cranes. Our overhead crane and gantry crane have CE, SGS, ISO certificates, etc, and our cranes fully meet these International standards. We have PDF format certificates and can send them to clients at any time.
Our Egyptian client is a very famous steel company, so they are very concerned about whether we have related experiences in the steel field and our cooperative clients in the related country and field. I collected parts of our cooperative clients and send the documents to our clients for reference. As a professional crane manufacturer in China, Egypt is one of our company’s main markets, we have many cooperative clients here. Generally, we sold whole set cranes to our clients, and also customize the crane solution fully according to clients’ actual working conditions. At the same time, providing crane solutions to steel companies is also our main field, we are very specialized in crane customization.
And we will also provide the whole set crane service to our clients, the following items for your reference:
For each production step, we will take detailed pictures and send them to you by email, like production pictures, delivery pictures, and package pictures. Before the production, we will make a detailed production schedule and send it to clients. After finalizing the order, our technical engineers will design the precise production drawing for the client’s confirmation. After getting the permission, we will proceed with the production immediately. And after finishing the production, our crane inspection department will do the loading and unloading test, only passed the test can be delivered to the client, and we will issue the test report and send it to the client by email.
Generally, the warranty period is 12 months, during the warranty period, if there are any problems with quality based on correct operation, we will send the spare parts to you for free and provide you with technical support. These spare parts are produced by our factory and have a large number of stocks, so we can send them to you at any time.
We have CE, SGS, and ISO certificates, and our crane and spare parts fully meet these international standards.
